The superheroes are here. The first look at the cast of Jupiter's Legacy series has just been dropped in an awesome teaser along with some gorgeous stills from the Netflix series.

The teaser depicts how the characters come to life from comic to screen. Although he does not appear in the video itself, original comic book artist Frank Quitely actually takes part in the teaser to pick up his pens again to sketch for the show.

The Jupiter's Legacy teaser features our first glimpses as the Union, which includes Sheldon Sampson (Josh Duhamel), his wife Grace Sampson (Leslie Bibb), and his brother Walter Sampson (Ben Daniels). We also get to see Sheldon and Grace's kids Chloe (Elena Kampouris) and Brandon (Andrew Horton) in action.

Netflix also shared some stills from the series which reveal a flashback sequence of the Sampsons in the 30s. There's also an awesome still of Brandon preparing for a fight with an obvious reference to Quitely in the background. In addition to that, we get our first glimpse at Blackstar (Tyler Mane) under attack.

Jupiter's Legacy is based on the comic book by Mark Millar and illustrated by Quitely. The series will also star Mike Wade, Matt Lanter, Tenika Davis, Anna Akana, and Chase Tang.

The synopsis for Jupiter's Legacy reads as follows:

"The first generation of superheroes have kept the world safe for nearly a century. Now their children must live up to their legacy."

Jupiter's Legacy will premiere on Netflix on May 7.
