Jeffrey Dean Morgan Continues Campaigning to Play DCEU's Lobo

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has already played three different DC characters in films but it looks like he still wants to play The Last Czarnian. The Walking Dead star is still campaigning to play the DC Extended Universe's version of Lobo.

It's no secret that Lobo has been one of Morgan's dream role for a long time now. Back in 2018, he admitted that he wanted to play the Last Czarnian because "he's badass." Not surprisingly, Morgan hasn't changed his mind since.

Morgan recently spoke to CinePop while promoting his new project The Unholy. Interestingly, the former Supernatural star once again pointed out that Lobo is still the one comic book character he wants to portray.

"There's so many superheroes. I like Lobo a lot," Morgan said. "I really wanted to do Lobo for a long time, but we'll see. We'll see, I have something maybe cooking and I'll let you know soon if that turns out to be, but I love the world of comic books and hope that I get to stay playing in this world for a long time."

We already know that Morgan played The Comedian in Zack Snyder's Watchmen and Clay in Vertigo's The Losers. He also had a small uncredited role as Jeb Turnbull in Jonah Hex but his most recent DC role was in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice where he portrayed Thomas Wayne. Interestingly, this could be the role Morgan will reprise in the future.

It was previously reported that Morgan still wants to play Thomas, who became Batman in the Flashpoint comic book story arc. Although he admitted that he wants to return as his BvS character, it has not yet been confirmed whether Thomas will appear in The Flash. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
