James Gunn Confirms Thor 4 Involvement, Says Taika Waititi Read Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Script


We already know that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be a major part of Thor: Love and Thunder. Not surprisingly, director James Gunn has just confirmed he is involved with the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel. In addition to that, Gunn admitted he had let Taika Waititi read the script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Gunn has once again been responding to fan questions on Twitter and he has been refreshingly honest about what he's working on right now.

When one fan asked how much input he will have in Love and Thunder, the Suicide Squad director pointed out that it's still Waititi's film but they had discussed the Guardians' ongoing story arc.

Interestingly, Gunn also revealed that he allowed Waititi to read the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 scripts. In return, the Jojo Rabbit director had shared the full Thor 4 script with Gunn and they discussed what would happen to Star-Lord and the rest of the team.

We're loving the idea that Gunn and Waititi are working together to make sure that the Guardians' ongoing storyline. In addition to that, this means Waititi knows what is going to happen in Vol. 3 and could add some clues in Thor 4 on what to look forward to in the other MCU movie.

Thor: Love and Thunder is currently in production and is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
