Hong Kong Disneyland Closes AGAIN Due to COVID-19

It has only been two months since Hong Kong Disneyland opened its doors but now, it looks like the park will need to shut down all over again. It has been revealed that the resort park will need to close its door in December due to COVID-19.

The official Disney Parks News Twitter account posted a statement about the shutdown. Check it out below.

"As required by the government and in line with preventative efforts taking place across Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland park will temporarily close beginning December 2," reads the statement. "We are in close contact with health authorities and the government about the situation and will announce a reopening date once they determine it is advisable."

The message concludes with, "The park is also scheduled to be closed today (December 1)."

This isn't the first time that Hong Kong Disneyland had to turn away tourists due to the pandemic this year. The resort had to shut down in January before re-opening in mid-June but that didn't last long as they had to close again in July. By September, everything was back in business until the latest update.

Despite the COVID-19 scare, the statement strongly suggests that Hong Kong Disneyland has every intention to open again soon. After all, the holidays are coming and there are undoubtedly millions of guests who want to visit the resort. On the other hand, there are speculations that the park will not be open again until next year.
