Henry Cavill Shares New Details about Geralt's Troubles in The Witcher Season 2

People are already looking forward to The Witcher Season 2 thanks to the first trailer that teased something new for Geralt of Rivia. But what exactly is happening with the White Wolf? Henry Cavill has shared some new details about what Geralt is up to in the second season.

Cavill recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly where he stated that Geralt is conflicted about having to save everyone all the time.

"He's got this deep down White Knight Syndrome, even though every time he acts upon it, it gets him into some serious trouble — and puts him and everyone else in a worse position than initially intended," Cavill said. He then added his character is naturally protective of his young ward.

"But with Ciri, she's definitely bringing out the paternal side of Geralt. While he hasn't necessarily been someone who craved children, he does take quite naturally to being a protector," Cavill said.

It's great to know that Geralt feels that way about Ciri although the two didn't actually meet until the last few minutes of the first season. However, the two are expected to bond after everything that happened in Season 1 and that means Geralt will look for ways to keep Ciri safe. Needless to say, we can't wait to see how these two interact later this year.

The Witcher Season 2 will also bring back Freya Allan as Ciri and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. The series will introduce new characters from the book and games including Geralt's mentor Vesemir. The second season will premiere on Netflix on December 17, 2021.
