It looks like production on The Witcher Season 2 has hit another obstacle yet again but this time, it has nothing to do with COVID-19. A new report reveals that Henry Cavill had suffered an injury on the set and it's bad enough for filming to be put on hold.
According to The Sun, Cavill was filming a scene that required for him to be 20ft high in trees and on a safety harness at Arborfield Studios, Berks. It was not clear how the Justice League star was injured.
A source who was on set confirmed that production was halted due to Cavill's injury and shared some details on what happened on the set.
"The filming has been hit because of what happened to Henry. He was on an assault course and injured his leg," the source said. "He just suddenly pulled up and was clearly in a lot of pain. It wasn't clear if an object had hit his leg or it was some sort of hamstring or muscle injury."
Luckily, it was also confirmed that the injury was not serious. However, it was bad enough to make Cavill unable to continue working.
"It wasn't bad enough to need an ambulance but it's messed up the filming schedule as he can't walk properly," the source continued. "He has to wear heavy armour in the scenes and he just wouldn't be able to do it with his leg injury.''
For now, it is unclear when production can resume on The Witcher Season 2. Nevertheless, we're hoping for Cavill's safe recovery soon.
