The first images from Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 have just been released and it looks like Jaime Lannister isn't getting a warm welcome. In addition to that, the people of Winterfell appear to be preparing for the highly anticipated battle that could take the lives of several characters.
In the season premiere, Jaime finally arrived in Winterfell and seemed pleased with what he saw. However, his mood quickly changed when he realized that Bran Stark had been waiting for him at the courtyard all along.
Jaime's arrival is already expected to lead to tension. The Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 preview showed the Kingslayer having to face trial as Daenerys Targaryen addresses him coldly. Here's one of the first photos from the second episode.
While we fear for Jaime, there are other things to worry about in the upcoming episode. The other pictures seem to show everyone preparing for the arrival of the White Walkers.
Some of the main characters also appear to be discussing their plans in taking on the Night King's army.
On a lighter note, we finally get a glimpse of Gilly and little Sam. Hopefully, these characters will survive until the end.
And then, there's Bran Stark, once again looking mysterious.
We're still not sure what Bran is thinking but we're hoping he turns out to be a great help to everyone once the White Walker army arrives.
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 has not yet been given an official title. Nevertheless, the new episode is set to premiere on HBO on April 21.
