Felicity Jones Teases Jyn Erso's Return in Possible Star Wars Project

We all know how Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ended but that hasn't stopped people from expecting Jyn Erso to return in the future. After all, if Cassian Andor can get his own series, why can't Jyn? Not surprisingly, Felicity Jones has teased her possible return to the Star Wars Universe.

In Rogue One, Jyn and Cassian led a team to recover the Death Star plans on Scarif. Although they were able to the Rebel command ship, the base was destroyed by the Death Star and the entire team was killed.

Surely, nobody could survive the Death Star but some fans insist that shouldn't stop Jyn's return. When asked if there was any chance she would reprise her Star Wars role, Jones told HeyUGuys that anything is possible.

"Never shut the door on Jyn Erso. Never," she said. Jones then pointed out that some people believe she could still return.

"I was having this conversation with someone the other day and I was trying to say, 'Well, look, you know it's a bit of a nuclear fallout at the end of the film'. And they were like, 'No, it didn't feel like that. It doesn't feel like they died'. And I was like, 'Well, there you go.' There's a chance for a comeback," Jones said.

It is important to point out that Jones is joking about Jyn's survival. However, there are other ways to bring back the dead. A prequel, like Diego Luna's Andor series, could easily explore Jyn's life when she was being brought up by Saw Gerrera. However, such a project has not yet been confirmed.

Although we're still not sure if Jyn will return to the Star Wars Universe, fans can expect to see her companion Cassian Andor in his own series which is set to premiere in 2022.
