We already know that Giancarlo Esposito is playing a huge role in Far Cry 6 but when can we expect the new title? The first trailer for the game has just leaked online and it reveals that the wait for the next Far Cry sequel is a lot closer than we thought.

The trailer has been leaked on Twitter. Sadly, it doesn't feature any of the gameplay that one might be hoping for. Nevertheless, it's a cinematic teaser for what fans can expect in the storyline and it also reveals the release date next year. You'll also get an introduction to the game's new villain Anton Castillo.

It was previously reported that Esposito might have been teasing about a major role in Far Cry 6 when he admitted about working on a new video game. Luckily, it didn't take long for Ubisoft to confirm the news by sharing a teaser for the Mandalorian star's character.

The official blurb for Far Cry 6 reads as follows:

"Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Their ruthless oppression has ignited a revolution."

Far Cry 6 will be unveiled at Ubisoft Forward on Sunday, July 12. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on February 18, 2021.
