We already know that Jamie Foxx will be returning as Electro in Spider-Man 3. But is it possible that another star from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well? There have been speculations that Emma Stone could transform into Spider-Gwen and there is an awesome fan-made poster imagining Gwen Stacy's return.
The poster was created by Hibban Mohammed aka venomhology and it shows Stone's character in Spider-Gwen's costume. Check it out below.
Interestingly, the poster is for a Spider-Gwen standalone film titled The Demise of Peter Parker. This would suggest that the only way to introduce Stone's Gwen as the webslinger would be to kill off Peter. This could only be possible if Andrew Garfield reprises his role in the MCU and although there have been reports that Garfield and Tobey Maguire are expected to return as two different Peters, the casting has since been debunked.
We're loving the art as well as the idea of a Spider-Gwen movie. However, it is important to point out that Stone's casting in a Sony or MCU film has not yet been officially announced. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt. In the meantime, fans can expect the current Peter played by Tom Holland to be the only Spider-person in the still-untitled Spider-Man 3.
