There is little doubt that fans are already hoping for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to premiere early next year. But when exactly will the Marvel Cinematic Universe series air on Disney+? Emily VanCamp may have revealed that the wait for the MCU show isn't as long as most people think.

VanCamp, who will reprise her role as Sharon Carter in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, recently spoke to PJ Stock about the series. Interestingly, Captain America: Civil War star shared an update on the show's post-production status.

"I don't think they have a release date, cause we had to come back and finish [filming] after lockdown," VanCamp said. "They're done filming, so they're probably almost done editing at this point."

She then added that there is a huge possibility that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will finally be available next month.

"Hopefully, the beginning of the year. And The Resident is starting up in January as well, so there might be a lot of me, come January," VanCamp said.

It's not an official update but it's certainly a hopeful one. Needless to say, it would be amazing if The Falcon and the Winter Soldier finally airs in January.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2021. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
