It's finally happening. Dwayne Johnson has just confirmed that Black Adam has started production and even shared an awesome behind-the-scenes photo to tease on the upcoming DC Extended Universe flick.

Johnson has been hyping up his highly anticipated next project since last year. Although fans were expecting Black Adam to begin filming in 2020, Johnson had other projects to work on. However, he now has time for the DCEU movie and the Hobbs & Shaw star has dropped a cool BTS look from the film's set. Check it out below.

"History in the making, extremely excited and what a humbling moment to share with you," Johnson wrote. "Officially kicking off DAY 1 of filming our BLACK ADAM."

The caption also praised director Jaume Collet-Serra and Director of Photography Lawrence Sher.

"We have an all-star production crew - incredibly talented, galvanized, committed and focused to raise the bar and deliver something SPECIAL for the world," Johnson wrote. "This one is an honor."

This is a great update considering that we've been waiting for Black Adam for a long time. The idea of the film finally starting production is truly exciting and we can't wait to get more awesome updates on the movie soon.

Black Adam will also star Adam Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan as Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Cyclone, and Doctor Fate, respectively, of Justice Society of America. It will also feature Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 29, 2022.
