Dune Fans Have Hilarious Reactions to Reboot's Latest Delay

In case you missed it, the Dune reboot has once again been delayed. Although the movie is only being pushed back by three weeks, fans have once again reacted accordingly to the delay. But this time, the reactions range from dramatic to hilarious.

On Saturday, it was confirmed that the Dune release date will be moved to October 22. The delay is part of Warner Bros.' release day shifts that brings Clint Eastwood's Cry Macho earlier from October 22 to September 17. Meanwhile, the Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark will be moving from September 24 to Dune's original release date October 1.

At this point, Dune fans are now experienced in the art of expressing their dismay over the film's delay and this is evident in the tweets reacting to the news.

We can't really blame them for being dramatic about the delay, After all, Dune was supposed to premiere last December and would have screened exclusively in theaters. However, some fans are being optimistic about the latest delay.

Personally, the delay doesn't make a huge difference. On the other hand, it's best to remember that Dune will actually premiere in September at the Venice Film Festival. With that in mind, there will be critics and celebrities who will get to see the reboot almost two months before the rest of us.

Dune stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem. The movie will premiere on October 22, 2021.
