Doctor Strange 2 Reportedly Giving Benedict Cumberbatch a New Comic-Book Accurate Look

It looks like big things are happening in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and no, we're not talking about Scarlet Witch's arrival. A new report reveals that Benedict Cumberbatch will finally be getting a more comic-accurate look in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.

Discussing Film shared that a source had leaked some interesting details about Doctor Strange 2. This includes "a new, comic accurate look for Doctor Strange himself."

We're not sure exactly if this means that Cumberbatch will be wearing a completely new costume or if the character will be sporting the Sorcerer Supreme's eccentric hairstyle from the comic books. For now, some believe it could have something to do with the yellow gloves that Strange's comic book counterpart wears.

Interestingly, Cumberbatch already wore those yellow gloves in Thor: Ragnarok. However, the gloves have since disappeared since the Sorcerer Supreme showed up in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. It would be interesting if he wears it again in Doctor Strange 2 to keep in line with Scarlet Witch's new costume.

For now, we don't know much about Doctor Strange 2 other than the fact that Elizabeth Olsen will reprise her role as Scarlet Witch in the sequel. However, fans believe that Olsen's MCU series WandaVision had teased what will happen in The Multiverse of Madness.

There is a possibility that Doctor Strange 2 will feature Wanda Maximoff teaming up with the Sorcerer Supreme in an effort to find her twin sons who might be stuck in a different dimension.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently in production and is set to premiere on March 25, 2022.
