Doctor Strange 2: Kevin Feige Teases Magneto's MCU Arrival and Quicksilver's Return

Fans might be losing hope on the possibility of seeing the X-Men in WandaVision but Kevin Feige may have confirmed that the mutants will show up in a different Marvel Cinematic Universe project. The Marvel Studios president has actually teased on Magneto joining the MCU as well as Quicksilver's possible return in Doctor Strange 2.

People have been speculating that WandaVision will introduce the X-Men into the MCU. However, the third episode of the Disney+ series continues to evade the possibility as it focuses on Wanda Maximoff's bizarre reality and hasn't teased on the multiverse just yet.

So is this because Marvel will bring in the mutants in a different project? Feige recently spoke to Rotten Tomatoes where he pointed out that Doctor Strange 2 will tackle the multiverse head-on.

"The title of the next Doctor Strange movie is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, so that is our biggest clue that that movie will embrace the Multiverse and the madness therein, very directly," Feige said.

"There are, as we always like to do, connections before and after that, which will remain to be seen and discovered. But it seemed appropriate that it would be Doctor Strange that takes that on in the most direct way," he added.

That sounds like Feige is confirming that Wanda will be meeting her mutant father and reuniting with her speedster brother. Interestingly, Feige chose to play coy about Magneto's arrival and Quicksilver's return.

"[Wanda's] got a lot of family members in the comics," he stated. "This is more about that relationship with Vision, and more about that dynamic and the evolving relationship of that couple, and how that grows and evolves and unfolds."

Although we're hoping this is Feige's way of teasing Magneto's appearance in Doctor Strange 2, he could also be referring to Wanda's twin sons. The twins have just debuted in WandaVision and there is a possibility they will eventually appear grown up and will be revealed to be heroes on their own.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled for release on March 25, 2022. In the meantime, the third episode ofWandaVision is now streaming on Disney+.
