The King's Man has hit another roadblock. The highly-anticipated prequel to the Kingsman movie franchise has been pushed back yet again due to COVID-19.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Disney decided to delay several upcoming films including The King's Man. Although the prequel was already set to hit theaters in March, the House of Mouse has pushed the 20th Century Studios film to an August release.

This is disappointing news for fans who have been waiting for The King's Man since 2019. The prequel, which explores the origins of the present-day Kingsman, was originally slated to premiere in November 2019. However, Disney chose to move it to September 2020.

Although the September date would have been ideal for the movie, it once again needed to be delayed to February 2021 due to COVID-19. But with several films, including No Time to Die and the Uncharted adaptation, getting a push back, Disney has ultimately chosen to move The King's Man to August this year.

The King's Man isn't the only 20th Century Studios film that will be delayed. Ron's Gone Wrong has also been pushed back to October 22. Likewise, Searchlight's upcoming projects The Eyes of Tammy Faye (September 24), Antlers (October 29), and Nightmare Alley (December 3) have all been delayed as well.

The King's Man is directed by Matthew Vaughn and also stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance. The film is now scheduled for release on August 20, 2021.
