Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 1 Reveals The Secret Behind Rengoku's Hidden Ability

People are still talking about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2, thanks to the premiere episode that was all about Rengoku Kyojuro. Episode 1 ensured that viewers learned a bit more about the Flame Hashira, who is the true hero of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - Mugen Train. Interestingly, fans also found out the true secret behind Rengoku's amazing abilities.

In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 1, Rengoku encounters a demon known as the Ripper who has been terrorizing the workers around a train station. The demon, who is known for his speed, decides to go after the ekiben vendors after seeing that the Flame Hashira has several of their bento boxes.

To slow Rengoku down, the Ripper injures a young boy at the garage where the Mugen Train is being fixed then speeds back to the train station. After ensuring that the boy is being looked after, Rengoku follows back to the station at surprising speed.

But how did the Flame Hashira manage to be almost as fast as the Ripper? Before running, Rengoku takes a deep breath and uses his Total Concentration Breathing to maintain his speed.

It's no secret that the Hashiras practice Total Concentration Breathing and it enhances their abilities. This is why Tanjiro had to learn how to do it and encouraged Zenitsu and Inosuke to do the same. In Mugen Train, Rengoku also showed Tanjiro that the right breathing can stop a wound from bleeding so there is little doubt that it can do so much more.

Luckily, we may get to see Rengoku practicing Total Concentration Breathing in the next few episodes of Demon Slayer Season 2. Needless to say, we can't wait for the next episode.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 2 is titled Deep Slumber. The new episode will premiere on October 17, 2021.
