It looks like Sansa Stark will stick around until the end of Game of Thrones Season 8. Dark Phoenix star Sophie Turner has teased how the final season of the HBO series will conclude and says fans will have mixed reactions.
Turner recently spoke to IGN about how Game of Thrones Season 8 will end. The X-Men actress admitted that there was "a lot of tears" when filming finally wrapped. She also stated that the conclusion "was really satisfying for us" but not all fans will be happy about it.
"I think a lot of fans will be disappointed and a lot of fans will be over the moon, I think. I think it will be really interesting to see people’s reactions," Turner said. She then added that her own reaction was completely different.
"For me reading the script it was just like heartbreaking to read at the very final page of the script it just says, ‘End of Game of Thrones’. That was really emotional."
Although some believe that there's not much information to take from the statement, it also confirms that Turner has the full script of the final episode. This could mean Sansa will survive until the end and could finally prove how important she is to the series. Is it possible that the Lady of Winterfell will eventually become the Queen of the North? We'll have to wait until Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres next year.
Although there are speculations that the show's final season will not be broadcast until mid-2019, Turner fans can expect to see the actress in Dark Phoenix. The first trailer for the X-Men film has finally been released, showing a darker side of Jean Grey. The movie will be Turner's first leading role and is expected to be a major box-office hit.
The Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere date has not yet been announced. Dark Phoenix hits theaters on February 14, 2019.
