There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to the release of Cyberpunk 2077 next week. However, it looks like there is already some disappointing news about the upcoming title. Some gamers who were able to get their hands on the video game early are sharing some shocking information about the launch and CD Projekt Red has confirmed the news.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that some fans were able to get their copies of Cyberpunk 2077 a lot earlier than others. This was through pre-release copies or through retailers who decided to break street date. However, these gamers aren't exactly as happy as we thought considering that they discovered the game has an update packing a substantial download size.

That's right, Cyberpunk 2077 has an update with a 43.5 GB download size which is way bigger than most games.
According to the tweet, the 43.5 GB update is supposed to be a day one patch. However, CD Projekt Red developer Fabian Mario Dohla actually clarified that there will be another one for launch.
It’s an update but - fun twist - not the update we’ll have for launch. ?

It shouldn't be much of a surprise that there will be huge updates on Cyberpunk 2077. After all, it's a truly ambitious title and CD Projekt Red has big plans for the game. With that in mind, gamers should be prepared for all these massive updates once the title is released.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on December 10 globally for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with releases on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia to follow.
