Chris Hemsworth Confirms Thor: Love and Thunder Production Start in New Instagram Photo

It's finally happening: Thor: Love and Thunder have started production and Chris Hemsworth has shared an awesome photo from the first day of shooting.

It's no secret that Thor 4 will begin filming this month. There have been several reports of actors arriving in Australia in preparation for the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick's production start. However, most of the updates have been away from the set.

Amazingly, Hemsworth's latest Instagram post offers a glimpse at what happened on the first day of shooting. Check it out below.

"A beautiful start to our shoot today with a Welcome to the Country ceremony from the Gamay dancers of the Gadigal and Bidiagal Nation and performance and karakia by Maori dancers from Te Aranganui," Hemsworth wrote.

The photos also include director Taika Waititi but the rest of the Thor: Love and Thunder cast are not in the pictures. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, and even Christian Bale in the next few weeks.

There's a good reason why people are hyped up about Thor: Love and Thunder. In addition to returning characters and new villains, the sequel will feature an epic crossover with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

It has already been confirmed that Chris Pratt will be back as Star-Lord in Thor 4. He will be joined by Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, and Bradley Cooper. With that in mind, it would be awesome to see the Guardians in action all over again.

Thor: Love and Thunder are scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
