Black Panther 2 Wants Narcos Mexico Star as New MCU Villain

Black Panther 2 might not have a lead star just yet but it looks like the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel is already moving forward. It has been confirmed that the upcoming film is planning to cast Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta as its new villain.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Huerta is currently in negotiations to appear in Black Panther 2 and it was even revealed that the Forever Purge star is expected to take on the role of a new main villain of the sequel. However, details about the role were not disclosed.

Interestingly, Huerta's possible casting is just one of the major updates on the second Black Panther film. It was also confirmed that most of the cast including Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman will be back in the sequel. In addition to that, the Ryan Coogler movie is already expected to begin production in July next year.

It's interesting to note that Black Panther 2 is already preparing to begin production considering that the movie recently lost its lead star. Chadwick Boseman, who played T'Challa in the first film, passed away in August and there have been no plans to recast the character. However, if the sequel is already getting new updates, there is a possibility that Marvel Studios has figured out a way to work on the movie without having to replace Boseman's character.

Black Panther 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
