Birds of Prey is Now Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes

It looks like all those positive reviews about Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) were right all along. The Margot Robbie film has just been certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

The official verdict is in and Birds of Prey got a stunning 85% Certified Fresh on the Tomatometer. The Audience Score is only a little higher at 88% but that only means that more viewers actually enjoyed the Warner Bros. film.

Not surprisingly, critics have a lot to say about Birds of Prey, with most of them calling it "chaotic." But that's not exactly a bad thing. After all, one critic says "it's a richly hued, madly inventive, gleefully violent and happily slapdash contraption with a formidable female at its center." One review praises director Cathy Yan, claiming that "her first big-budget super-outing" happens to be "too much @#$% fun."

Interestingly, some critics even took a dig at Harley's ex. "Birds of Prey may be a manic circus, but it proves to be the best kind of circus - one without a clown," one review read. We hope that Jared Leto doesn't read that.

Birds of Prey also stars Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Ella Jay Basco, Ali Wong, and Chris Messina. The film follows Harley as she teams up with Huntress, Black Canary, Renee Montoya and the young Cassandra Cain in an effort to fight against Roman Sionis aka Black Mask. The movie is currently screening in theaters worldwide.
