Avengers 4: Thanos Might Be Working With A Stronger Ally

The universe just can't get a break. A new leak may have revealed that Thanos will be joining forces with a terrifying new ally in Avengers 4.

Fans recently found leaked Avengers 4 merchandise featuring Thor and Rocket Raccoon in new suits. However, the costumes were not the only things that the new toys have revealed. The description hinted at Rocket having to face a bigger opponent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel (via ComicBookMovie).

"The Asgardian Thor wields the mighty Stormbreaker in his battle against new foes," it reads. "Rocket teams up with a new crew to guard the galaxy from an even greater threat."

First of all, it looks like we will not be seeing the duo working together the way they did in Avengers: Infinity War. Thor will be off to fight more than just one enemy while Rocket will be getting new allies in Avengers 4. Although there is a possibility that we will be getting a new set of Guardians of the Galaxy, they will also need to defend the rest of us from something bigger than Thanos.

But is it possible that this new threat is actually working with the Mad Titan? It's a terrifying idea but fans are hoping that the Avengers will manage to fend off more threats against the world.

So who is the new villain we can look forward to in Avengers 4? There are speculations that Annihilus will make an appearance in the MCU flick. However, considering the character's bad history with Thanos, it is unlikely that they will be teaming up anytime soon. Interestingly, Annihilus was brought up because of his connection to the Annihilation comic book storyline. Annihilation has been a popular theory for the sequel's title.

We are still uncertain about this one, so it would be best to take the details with a grain of salt.

Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
