Attack on Titan Season 4 Actor Opens up About Connie's Devastating Scene

The English dub of Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 8 is finally out and fans are feeling the pain all over again. However, there's one person who actually had to go through what Connie felt in the episode's truly devastating scene. Voice actor Clifford Chapin has opened up about working on Connie's heaviest moment in the anime.

In Assassin's Bullet, Sasha was killed after Gabi shot her in the chest. Although everyone was devastated by her death, Connie is the one who is hit the hardest and his emotional reaction has left fans in tears.

Not surprisingly, Chapin had to tap into something truly deep to portray Connie's loss. In a new tweet, he revealed that his performance was brought on by the passing of fellow voice actor Brad Venable.

"This last scene was really heavy to record. I channeled a lot of my feelings from @bradvenable 's passing last month into it. I just hope it would have done him proud. Thanks for watching #AttackonTitanFinalSeason on #Toonami, everyone. Have a good night," Chapin wrote.

Chapin's performance in the dub was truly compelling and fans were quick to congratulate and thank him for channeling his grief to properly portray Connie's loss. Needless to say, Connie should be moving forward but we're still devastated about what happened to Sasha.

Venable passed away earlier in January at the age of 43. He had previously provided the voice of Daz in Attack on Titan.

The Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 8 dub aired on Toonami on February 28.
