Arrowverse's Crisis On Infinite Earths Almost Featured Krypton's Cameron Cuffe

There is little doubt that Arrowverse's upcoming crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths is going to be huge now that Tom Welling has been confirmed to return as Superman. However, it could have been even bigger if Cameron Cuffe of the Syfy series Krypton showed up as Kal El's grandfather. Interestingly, it almost happened if the schedules simply allowed it.

Marc Guggenheim is the man behind all of the Arrowverse crossovers and he has just confirmed that he had actually planned for Cuffe to appear in Crisis on Infinite Earths. When a fan asked if it was possible to bring in Seg-El from Krypton, Guggenheim admitted that he tried to make it happen. Take a look at his tweet below.

"We tried. We couldn't make the dates work," Guggenheim wrote.

It would have been an awesome thing to see Seg-El in action and finally crossing over to his grandson's world. Nevertheless, there will be no shortage of representation from the House of El in Arrowverse later this year. In addition to Welling, Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh will play two other versions of Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

We're not sure why the scheduling couldn't work considering that Cuffe doesn't have to work on more Krypton episodes. After all, the series was cancelled by Syfy after its second season. It's an unfortunate thing that Seg-El won't be in the crossover event but we're still looking forward to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will air on The CW this December.
