Ant-Man 3 Director Peyton Reed Offers Update on MCU Sequel

It looks like the highly anticipated Ant-Man 3 is still moving forward despite the COVID-19 shutdowns. Director Peyton Reed has just offered an update on the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel and he confirmed that they are still working on the film.

A fan recently reached out to Reed on Twitter, asking, "how is Ant-Man 3 preparation going sir?" Interestingly, the filmmaker was quick to respond to the post. Take a look at his tweet below.

"Going well sir," Reed wrote.

That's not much but it does confirm that Ant-Man 3 is still in development. There is a possibility that Reed is currently working on the script while also gathering the crew for pre-production. Either way, we're happy to know that the sequel could start production soon.

But what can we expect in Ant-Man 3? There have been speculations that the third film could explore the Quantum Realm more, which means that Janet van Dyn could still play a major role. In addition to that, Ava Starr might eventually team up with Scott Lang and Hope van Dyn in the sequel.

The still-untitled Ant-Man 3 is expected to bring back Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, and Hannah John-Kamen. Although the sequel has not yet been given an official release date, it is set to be one of the films that will be a part of the MCU Phase Four. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
