Amazon's Wheel Of Time Casts Rand Al'Thor, Perrin Aybara, Nynaeve, And More

Amazon is certainly moving forward with the upcoming Wheel of Time series and the young heroes of the highly anticipated show have now been cast. The network has announced the young actors who will play Rand Al'Thor, Perrin Aybara, Nynaeve al'Meara, Mat Cauthon, and Egwene Al’Vere.

The young cast was introduced on Amazon's official Twitter account for the Wheel of Time series. Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, and Madeleine Madden will all be joining Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike, who has been cast as Moiraine.

Stradowski will play Rand Al'Thor, a young man born with the marks of the Dragon Reborn, the prophesized savior. In the Robert Jordan books, Rand is just one of the three young men who are initially believed to be the Dragon by Moiraine.

Rutherford has been cast as Perrin Aybara, childhood friend to Rand. He is one of the youths who could be the Dragon Reborn.

Harris portrays Mat Cauthon, the third of the three youths Moiraine suspects to be the Dragon Reborn. He joins Rand and Perrin through the Two Rivers along with with their other friends.

Robins will play Nynaeve al'Meara, a friend of the three youths who would eventually become one of the Aes Sedai.

Madden rounds out the cast as Egwene Al’Vere, Rand's betrothed who proves to have the Talent of Foretelling and Dreamwalking.

The Wheel of Time has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is expected to begin production soon and could premiere on Amazon Prime by 2020.
