A Quiet Place Spinoff Set for 2023 Release

There is little doubt that the first two A Quiet Place movies have been very successful at the box office, even though Part II had to be pushed back several times due to COVID-19. So it's no surprise that Paramount Pictures has greenlighted a spinoff film that is expected to premiere in 2023.

Deadline confirms that the studio has set the untitled new A Quiet Place film for a March 31, 2023 release date. However, it was clarified that the announced movie is not a sequel to Part 2. The report specifically pointed out that the project is actually the one that will be written and directed by MUD's Jeff Nichols.

Not much is known about the A Quiet Place spinoff project. However, it is unlikely that the new film will feature Emily Blunt or the rest of the characters from the first two movies. Instead, the project is based on an idea from the franchise's original director and writer John Krasinski.

For now, it's too early to tell what will happen in the A Quiet Place spinoff. However, we could get some updates on the project in the next few months.

The spinoff movie isn't the only one that Paramount might be pursuing in the future. Krasinski has previously admitted that he took down notes for a possible third film. However, this has not yet been officially announced.

A Quiet Place Part II has been a major box office success and has been declared as one of the highest-grossing films in the pandemic era. The sequel is still screening in theaters worldwide.
