Wolverine and Hulk Team-Up Against Weapon H in February's Hulkverines, Yes That's The Official Title

Marvel surprised fans last year when they announced Weapon H, a new character who was made by the genes of Wolverine and The Hulk. Introduced via the Mutants of Mass Destruction storyline, this surprised fans by taking a dumb concept and making it well-written. While Weapon H ended up being a good guy, even getting his own ongoing series, the original Wolverine and Hulk aren't happy about their genes being used like this.

As a result, we are getting a mini-series in February where Wolverine and Hulk team up to take on Weapon H. The name of the series? Hulkverines.

No seriously, it's called Hulkverines. Because it has Wolverine and Hulk, while Weapon H is a combination of both characters. Hulkverines. Huh.

Written by WeaponH and Weapon X writer Greg Pak, it seems like the mini-series is in very good hands. Pak has extensive experience with both characters, though he made his name with Hulk more than Wolverine. Ario Anindito is drawing issues #1 and #3, and Guiu Villanova handles art for Hulkverines #2. Greg Land is providing covers for the series, the first of which you can see below.

Pak has a reputation for taking ridiculous storylines and surprising audiences by adding some depth and complexity. His Incredible Hercules runs with Fred Van Lente was a critical darling and Mutants of Mass Destruction got pretty solid reviews. He also came up with Planet Hulk and World War Hulk, along with their Amadeus Cho-starring sequels.

Hulkverines (ugh) will be available in February.
