Tyler Hoechlin Thanks Everyone for Upcoming Superman & Lois Show

The CW is officially working on a new Superman & Lois series, likely due to all the nostalgia fans have for Lois and Clark back in the day. It might also be due to the fact that Henry Cavill probably won't be Superman again anytime soon, meaning that we can actually have a TV series that focuses on the iconic DC superhero. Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Superman in Supergirl and is set to reprise the role for this series, has decided to thank everyone for making this show happen.

Hoechlin wrote a lengthy Instagram post that thanked The CW, DC, Warner Bros, and all of the fans who are making Superman & Lois possible. The actor also posted an old picture of Christopher Reeves as Superman and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, which should get fans of the 1977 Superman film nostalgic.

With all due respect to Henry Cavill, most fans preferred Hoechlin's portrayal of the classic DC superhero over Cavill's. He smiled more, was actually able to act sincerely about wanting to help people, and wasn't so grumpy all the time. That's not Cavill's fault - if anything, it's Zack Snyder's - but it's easy to see why fans prefer Coechlin's portrayal since he actually acts like Superman.

Currently, no release date for the upcoming Superman & Lois series. It's expected to spin-off from Supergirl and Crisis on Infinite Earths so fans will want to check out those shows to find out more about the future.
