The Live-Action Hercules Remake Reportedly Has Plenty of Marvel Talent Working on It

Who puts the Glad in Gladiator? HERCULES! That catchy song is one of the many reasons a lot of people grew up loving Disney's Hercules, even if it was inaccurate to the original myths. This is why a lot of people have mixed thoughts about the news that Disney might be working on a live-action Hercules movie based on the 1997 classic. Marvel fans might be a little bit happy about it though since The Russo Brothers are reportedly working on it.

They aren't the only Marvel talents working on the movie either as The Hollywood Reporter claims that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings writer David Callaham is going to be penning the script. We still don't have a director or lead star to go through a Steve Rogers-like transformation for the film's second act so we're gonna have to wait for more news.

Joe and Anthony Russo might be loved by Marvel and Community fans but their work hasn't always been successful. While beloved by fans, Deadly Class was canceled after only one season and they also produced that show. Fans still have Rick Remender's excellent comic book series to read but that show's cancelation remains a tragedy.

Some fans are going to have happy or angry reactions to this movie, given the overall mixed reception of the live-action Disney remakes thus far. Fans seem to like The Jungle Book and Cinderella while others dislike Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Only time will tell when it comes to the reaction a live-action Hercules will get.
