The DC Universe is Destroyed by a Major Thor Threat

Marvel and DC love to reference each other's work, whether it's a dig at their current product or a nice little tribute to their characters, it's something more common than a shiny new #1. CBR recently released a new preview for Thor #2 which actually gives us a dying DC universe. And by dying, we mean the universe dies by the end of the preview, so a dead DC universe.

During a scene that shows how destructive the Black Winter, we see it envelop an Earth that has "Gods." A Sun God, an Emerald God, a Dark God, an Ocean God, a Speed God, and a Strength God, all represented by colored lines that are moving to destroy the Black Winter. Unfortunately, this Earth is killed by the Black Winter and all of those "Gods" were killed.

In case you didn't know, those "Gods" were Superman, Green Lantern, Batman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. This implies that the Black Winter is strong enough to destroy these iconic, which will likely be debated by a number of fans. Then again, this is something that a King of Asgard should be able to handle, so realistically, Thor does need threats like this to remain interesting.

Unfortunately, this is less friendly than the most recent Young Justice issue that had Dial H turn into a Spider-Man-like character. That was a more loving tribute to the character, though he could always die by the next issue. We'll see what happens.
