Star Wars Releases Preview of Luke Skywalker Manga

Ever since Star Wars: The Last Jedi came out, fans have been discussing the legacy of Luke Skywalker and if it has been ruined or made more prominent by the controversial film. As the fans debate that movie, along with the quality of The Rise of Skywalker, Disney and LucasFilm have plenty of merchandise to sell fans, like the upcoming manga Star Wars: The Legends of Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars has decided to share a five-page preview of this manga, with the Jedi helping out an alien lady who is, well, just chilling if we're being honest. Why they didn't decide to share some cooler images of Luke swinging his lightsaber or using the force to push away some mooks is a mystery but we're sure the manga has a bunch of that. Otherwise, what's the point?

The Legends of Luke Skywalker was considered by many to be a lost piece of Star Wars media for some time, with most fans assuming that it would never get a Western release. Now that the internet has made manga more popular and accessible, it's nice to finally see this Star Wars manga in English.

Will it be canon? Probably not but that shouldn't matter. Fans should just want to read good stories featuring their favorite characters, especially if it's someone as revered as Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Legends of Luke Skywalker is now available in comic book shops and bookstores.
