Spawn Gameplay Trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 Released

Fans have been waiting with anticipation to see Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character Spawn in action, with many saying that he's the one fighter they're the most excited to use. It's easy to see why, with his cool character design and some of the sick things we saw him do in those Image comics. Now, we can breathe easily as NetherRealm Studios has released his very first gameplay trailer and it is really good.

It's clear that the developers were having a lot of fun creating Spawn's move-set for the game since there are a lot of references from the comics that diehard fans will enjoy. Spawn has a ton of weapons that he uses here, from machine guns, swords, axes, maces, not to mention his own cape. He looks really sick and the fact that his Fatality is gory as hell shouldn't be much of a surprise.

We're hoping that Spawn's various costumes in the game also have comic book references, which will surely be the case. Joker had a couple and they even released some skins for other characters to make it feel more DC-like.

This is the best Spawn has ever looked in a video game, hell, it's the best he's looked in an entertainment medium outside of the comics. That's not saying much since we can only really compare this Spawn to some of the shitty video games in the past that had him as the lead star and his only live-action movie isn't worth much praise either. Still, good job NetherRealm.

Spawn will be available on March 17 for those that bought the Kombat Pack of Mortal Kombat 11, while those that plan on buying him separately must wait another week. The game itself is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
