Pokemon Masters EX is Trending For All the Wrong Reasons

If you're an avid gamer who is on Twitter, you might be surprised to see Pokemon Masters EX trending. Not because the Pokemon mobile game is particularly good or bad but because the hashtag reads #pokemonmastersex. As expected, the internet realized that the developers put up something that could be interpreted as naughty and they quickly made a bunch of memes to capitalize on this glorious blunder. This is why capitalization is important.

Just in case that opening paragraph went over your head, the lack of capitalization on said hashtag made fans think Pokemon Masters EX was Pokemon Master Sex. Considering how fornication is almost never brought up in the franchise (aside from egg breeding), you can see why many Pokemon fans would find this hilarious. Next time, they need to make it #pokemonmastersEX.

Reactions have been hilarious because, well, Pokemon and sex are just two things that should not go together. Granted, there is a fair amount of gross fan art and videos should you look for them but we would advise you not to do that. Pokemon should be a wholesome franchise for kids but that doesn't mean we can't laugh at these blunders.

On an unrelated note, fans have wanted a more mature Pokemon game for the longest time. Sword and Shield was the one game that made fans realize that this franchise won't always mature with them but given the demographic that they aim for, we would suggest something like Digimon Story: Cybersleuth or Persona if you want a more mature monster-catching game.

Pokemon Masters EX, not Pokemon Master Sex, is now available on iOS and Android devices.
