Mewtwo Returns With Two New Pokemon in Another Detective Pikachu TV Spot

Well, would you look at that, we're getting yet another Pokemon: Detective Pikachu tv spot and it's fairly exciting. Mewtwo, who was spoiled in the second trailer, returns here for a short glimpse but we're also getting two new Pokemon for this film. Fans will definitely flock towards them since they are favorites from the Kanto region.

Firstly, we have Magikarp's amazing evolution Gyrados, who looks amazing in live-action. This water-type/flying-type hybrid (that isn't a dragon-type for some reason) is a pretty popular Pokemon and is a crucial catch for any fan of these games, though grinding to evolve your Magikarp can be a challenge. Still, the grind is worth it when you unleash your Gyrados on foes, especially when it learns Hyper Beam.

This one is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot, but Pidgeot is also seen briefly, dropping Pikachu off. The Pokemon's appearance is too quick to gauge but we can only hope that this flying-type Pokemon is as detailed as the others. Fans flocked to this Pokemon in the early days, mostly thanks to Ash using this flying-type a lot during the early days of the anime. Well, he used Pidgeotto. He released Pidgeot to protect Pidgeys from Spearow and Fearow.

Pokemon: Detective Pikachu comes out on May 10.
