Marvel is Teasing 'Absolute Carnage' for Venom and Spider-Man

After months of waiting and plenty of teases, Marvel has revealed Absolute Carnage, the big Venom event that has been set up by writer Donnie Cates. He will be returning as the event's writer while artist Ryan Stegman returns to do illustrations for the event and everyone should be hyped for this. As previous teaser's have stated, Carnage is returning and only Venom (and Spider-Man?) can stop him.

Newsarama has confirmed that the event will be kicked off during this year's Free Comic Book Day, which happens this May. However, the actual first issue of the event comes out in August so we have some time before this big event comes out. At the least, fans won't have to pay to see if they'll like it (expect to be in line for a long time though).

Here is what Cates had to say about his spiritual successor to Maximum Carnage:

"Cletus Kasady is back, and he is deadlier than he's ever been.Absolute Carnageencompasses every single character who has ever worn a symbiote and every symbiote that has ever been, going all the way back to when Peter found the black suit. Going from there toMaximum CarnagetoVenomizedto everything…everyone is a target."

Who else is hyped for Absolute Carnage?
