Marvel's Avengers is Getting a Big Update That Fixes Hundreds of Issues

Marvel's Avengers has been a bit of a mixed bag since it came out last week. While the game does have some fun beat-em-up gameplay with a loop that's actually semi-enjoyable, it also has a number of bugs and glitches that get in the way of fun. There are also performance issues that make playing on a regular PlayStation 4 hell when the screen is packed to the brim with baddies to beat up and infinite loading screens can also haunt players.

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are well aware of these issues, as the War Table weekly blog has confirmed that a big update is coming soon and will supposedly fix "hundreds" of these issues. That sounds great but, let's be honest here, why didn't they just wait a bit so that the game could have launched with this? Sure, delays suck but playing a fun game that crashes or has infinite loading screens is pretty bad too.

It's good that they are going to be fixing many of the issues that Marvel's Avengers suffers from. Yours truly is currently going through the dreaded "infinite loading screens" when picking the main Campaign, forcing me to choose Avengers Initiative and then picking Campaign from there. That's frustrating and other players who haven't finished the story mode are going through the same thing so this should be fixed.

Unfortunately, no release date for this Marvel's Avengers update has been revealed, with the blog merely stating that it will be coming out soon. Hopefully, it won't take too long and this will give players the chance to play other games in their backlog, like Ghost of Tsushima or Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

Marvel's Avengers is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
