Marvel's Avengers Spotlights Thor and His Improved Character Model

Marvel's Avengers has released another character spotlight, this time focusing on the God of Thunder Thor and Crystal Dynamics have not been lazy. While keeping the character's attire intact, the developers have improved Thor's character model significantly, changing his hairstyle and making his face look a lot better. Sure, he's not a hunk like Chris Hemsworth but it's close enough and a huge improvement over the initial trailer.

As fans can see, they made Thor's hair longer and face has much more detail, no longer looking like an early PS4 character model. Both Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix said that they wouldn't be changing the character models but would improve on them before release, which is exactly what they did. Seems like all of those complaints were good for something.

In terms of gameplay, Thor also looks like a really fun character to use, though one has to wonder how the Batman: Arkham battle system will use the God of Thunder's massive move-set well. After all, the guy can use lightning, throw Mjolnir and take it back, make tornadoes, and so much more.

Thor is a great character and we're glad to see Crystal Dynamics do a lot to make his character model better. The character's alternate attire also looks great and, to be honest, looks a lot better than the base costume. Hopefully, they also add his classic Jack Kirby costume, just because I think it would be neat to see the attire.

Marvel's Avengers will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on May 15, 2020.
