Leaked Released Date for Netflix's The Witcher Gets Debunked (Again)

After a deleted tweet from Netflix claimed that The Witcher would finally be coming out on December 17, the popular streaming company was quick to debunk the news. Apparently, someone made a mistake when it came to that infamous tweet and an actual release date for the series has yet to be decided. This is one of the most baffling situations we've ever heard of since Netflix is usually so sure with their release dates.

Naturally, a Netflix representative had to set the record straight. Here is what supposedly happened:

"The launch date for The Witcher has not yet been confirmed. The post was made by Netflix accounts in the Netherlands in error, and not all of the information contained in it is accurate/final."

It looks like the wait continues for whenever Fall 2019 is for Netflix since it feels like The Witcher is taking forever. This could be due to reshoots or changes in the script, which is normal for a lot of shows and movies. We probably wouldn't be this anxious about it if those leaks didn't happen but that's just the nature of geeky media.

Honestly, there's a lot to be excited about this show and we're hoping that it lives up to all of our lofty expectations. The Witcher video games are fantastic and have some amazing stories, so if an episode can be as good as the game's side quests (seriously) it will overachieve.

Netflix's The Witcher will be coming out in Fall 2019, whenever that is.
