Justice League Dark: Apokolips War Confirms Constantine's Bisexuality and Then Some

Even though a majority of comic book fans are aware of Constantine being a bisexual character, it's still not a common thing associated with the Vertigo character and a number of us have tried making his sexuality more visible. Thankfully, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War managed to find a way to confirm that the character was bisexual in a fun scene that should get a lot of fans talking.

Let's just say, good old John has some weird tastes…

When meeting with a majority of DC characters, Constantine sees his ex and is worried that he'll get noticed. The camera makes us think that his ex is Harley Quinn and when Raven asks, Constantine retorts with "are you mad?" before the scene reveals that his ex is actually King Shark. It's one of the weirdest reveals that the DC animated movies have ever done but it's also really fun.

The comedy comes from the fact that Constantine would rather date a shark man over a manic pixie-like Harley Quinn. Admittedly, I'm not sure if Harley is dating Poison Ivy in this universe so please don't @ me. Frankly, we're just glad that these movies are letting these characters flourish and it's something the live-action films need to work on.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is available now on digital stores. It's also the finale of this universe, though more DC animated movies like Superman: Man of Tomorrow are still being planned.
