Jonah Hill Reportedly Wanted $10 Million to Star in Matt Reeves' The Batman

It looks like Jonah Hill is about to rub fans off the wrong way and he hasn't even started filming The Batman yet. Hell, he hasn't even signed the papers yet but if these recent reports are true, the actor reportedly asked for $10 million to star in Matt Reeves movie, even though lead actor Robert Pattinson isn't making half that. Admittedly, we're not gonna call Hill greedy, especially since he's working in a corrupt and toxic environment like Hollywood, but this won't endear him to fans.

The news comes from Variety's Justin Kroll, who claims that Hill has had the offer for over a month and he reportedly asked for the $10 million. He also hasn't signed on yet since it's not yet clear if he will be playing Penguin or Riddler, two popular Batman villains who have their fair share of fans.

Unsurprisingly, things could still fall apart and it could all come down to money, though executives are hoping to get Hill to agree to the villain role, whether it be Penguin, Riddler, or someone else entirely. We'll have to wait and see if he agrees to the role but we're sure he can pull either of these villains off since Hill has branched away from comedies in recent years.

Obviously, fans should take this with a grain of salt, though Variety tends to be more truthful than other sources. Once again, we're not going to call Hill greedy, especially with the people he has to deal with but it's still a bad look when you ask for more money than the lead actor. Then again, he might not have known about Pattinson's pay.

The Batman comes out on June 25, 2021.
