Jason Momoa Working With Aquaman 2 Writer on The Story

Now that the world knows how much money Avengers: Endgame made, it's also worth noting that Aquaman is a billion-dollar-making movie. In fact, that film is the most successful DC movie in the history books, so fans of the character and Jason Momoa are looking forward to Aquaman 2, which has been confirmed for 2022.

In fact, it seems like no one is as excited as Momoa himself since the stud told Ellen that he is working with the film's writers and that the sequel's story has already been locked. That is very good news for a movie that isn't even in pre-production. Obviously, the people in Warner Bros and DC want a sequel to their biggest money-maker to do well so here is hoping that it does.

Here's what Momoa had to say about the sequel:

"I was really, really, really passionate to do the second one because it's the first time where it's all on Earth. It's combining land and sea, kind of like what I'm doing with this [environmental cause]. There's no outside aliens destroying Earth, it's us."
"I was excited to get back in there, and so I've been working with our previous writer, and getting in there, and we've got a locked story, and we're getting into it."

Momoa's teases for the sequel's story are intriguing and we can hope that it's an improvement from the first. While the first Aquaman was a fun action movie, it had a pretty weak story and a terrible side villain in Black Manta. That guy is supposed to be cool.

Aquaman 2 comes out in 2022.
