Japan Just Successfully Tested a Manned Flying Car

While most people would agree that 2020 has been a disappointing year that is seriously lacking in empathy, there have been a few positive developments. Most of us thought that they would only be related to video games but it seems like Japan might be using this year to bring us to that fictional future we always see in movies since they just successfully tested a manned flying car called the SD-03.

Louder for the people in the back; Japan has successfully tested a MANNED FLYING CAR. That means we could be flying through the air to avoid traffic and maybe even go to some cool places usually haunted by traffic. Of course, this is only one successful test and they will have to do more so that they can sell this to people while ensuring their safety but we are a few steps closer to that reality.

Tomohiro Fuzukawa, the CEO of Sky Drive Inc, told CNN that they want to start building a society where flying cars are the norm. I doubt this will mean a new era that's similar to The Jetsons but you never know what might happen. Here's hoping these things are as cool and safe as they appear to be in the cartoons.

"We want to realize a society where flying cars are an accessible and convenient means of transportation in the skies and people are able to experience a safe, secure, and comfortable new way of life."

Sky Drive Inc is hoping to release flying cars like the SD-03 by 2023. Will this actually happen? Let's hope so.
