Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered is Finally Coming Out This August

After tons of development and even a delay, Square Enix has finally revealed a new release date for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. Thanks to a new trailer, we now know that this beloved Gamecube classic will be coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android on August 27. Considering how many years this game has been in development, not to mention the current COVID-19 epidemic, this release has been a long time coming.

Many Final Fantasy fans have been looking forward to this game's release since it would give them access to a beloved Gamecube classic on modern hardware. While the original Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is considered a gem to many, the game did have a convoluted multiplayer set-up that needed three other Game Boy Advance units. That made things impossible for Wii replaying so the re-release on new consoles is great.

It also helps that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remasteredis going to have cross-play across these gaming systems. That's pretty wild since the game will be coming out on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. Is this why these versions of the game aren't in 60 fps like the Gamecube version? Here's hoping they fix that.

What else needs to be said? Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is finally coming out on August 27 years after it was initially revealed on a Nintendo Direct. Time really flies when there's nothing to do in your house.
