Bumblebee's John Cena Wants a Transformers/GI Joe Crossover Film

Bumblebee will soon be available for the world to see and if the reviews have been anything to go by, this is going to be the best live-action Transformers film yet. Clearly taking a page from films like The Iron Giant and E.T., the film offers more heart and characterization than any of the previous Michael Bay installments. The film also has a pretty big role for John Cena, who seems to be doing well in his movie career.

What's next for the Doctor of Thuganomics? Apparently, Cena would want to see a team up film between G.I. Joe and the Transformers since both franchises are under Hasbro. It's an idea that many fans have wanted to see and they briefly got it during an epic 12-issue mini-series from IDW simply called Transformers vs G.I. Joe, from writer/artist Tom Scioli.

Speaking with CinemaBlend, Cena said he may have started the rumors or a crossover film starting but that fans shouldn't look too into it since he's just a fan (and a 16-time WWE Champion). Like many of us, Cena wants to see these two storied franchises clash for some fun and it would make for an awesome movie, assuming whoever's involved loves these toys.

"I might have been the one that started that fire. Don't look into that any more than a fan would be enjoying (it). I just think you have these two storied franchises that, especially because of the way this one was written, damn near rub up against each other. And I think it would be a really cool, in the days of big franchise universes, to see these things collide and coexist on the same screen."

Bumblebee comes out tomorrow on December 21.
