'Black Widow' Lead Scarlett Johansson May Have Confirmed a Hawkeye Appearance

Black Widow is officially the next MCU film coming out and will be the first installment of Marvel's phase five. The movie will take place sometime after Captain America: Civil War, where she will seemingly be hunted down by other Russian characters. We know that Yelena Belova, The Red Guardian, and Taskmaster will be in the film but fans are all asking one thing; will Hawkeye be in the movie?

During an interview with Good Morning America, title star Scarlett Johansson was asked if the character's best friend would have some sort of role to play in her solo flick. Johansson did her best to avoid the question, simply stating that the film would have a lot of surprises and if she says anymore, people will get shot by tranquilizers.

While it would be nice seeing Clint Barton help out his bestie, he was under arrest after the events of Civil War. There's a good chance that he'll appear but decide not to help her, which will be sad but understandable. Then again, this could be his "last favor" to her before deciding to retire for good.

At least until Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Fans will be able to watch Black Widow on May 1, 2020.
