Birds of Prey Teaser Was Meant to Be a Theater Exclusive for It: Chapter Two Screenings

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) recently had a teaser that was leaked and those who saw it noticed an odd bit of It: Chapter Two before it started. Well, as it turns out, the teaser was supposed to debut as an exclusive treat to those that are planning to see the second haunting of Pennywise but then the internet decided to do what it does best.

Variety was able to confirm that the Birds of Prey teaser isn't meant to debut online, which will likely get fans to watch It: Chapter Two, despite its middling reviews. Unfortunately, that plan has gone under, though that probably won't stop some audiences from seeing it; after all, we want to see this teaser clearly and not through someone's camera lens.

Since the film is set to debut early next year, it probably won't be long before DC and Warner Bros. decides to release a brand-new teaser and maybe an official trailer. Hopefully, it doesn't completely spoil the third act like another movie *cough*Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice*cough.*

It will be interesting to see how Birds of Prey will handle Harley's character, especially since she was madly in love with The Joker in Suicide Squad. People who have seen the leaked teaser say that there's a line where Harley says she's "over clowns," but we don't exactly know why she suddenly feels that way.

"Joker's an abusive criminal" is the obvious answer but Suicide Squad romanticized their relationship so let's hope they have a decent explanation as to how she regrets her actions.

Birds of Prey (and the Fabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) comes out on February 7, 2020.
