New Synopsis For Incredibles II Puts Mrs. Incredible In The Spotlight

It's been more than a decade since the release of Pixar's The Incredibles and long-awaited sequel is set to come out later this year. An official synopsis has been released for the film, and it looks like the movie will be focusing more on Mrs. Incredible this time around.

Here's the synopsis:

Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in "Incredibles 2" – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life/ It's a tough transition for every one, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again – which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible.

With Brad Bird coming back to direct, I have no doubt that this movie is going to come out great. I'm just hopeful it doesn't fall flat like some Disney/Pixar sequels.

I'm looking at you, Finding Dory.

With the first film's best element being the focus on family, I'm wondering just how this film will try to replicate that magic. Just reading the synopsis, I'm guessing the Incredibles will spend most of their time apart, then they'll come together as a super-team in the end.

The Incredibles II is set to come out June 15.
