NBC's Xena: Warrior Princess Reboot Finds Former Lost Writer

We first heard about NBC's plans to reboot the '90's fantasy series Xena: Warrior Princess a few months ago, and original executive producers Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi are involved in what's being called as a "modern reboot". Lucy Lawless even expressed her thoughts on the possibility of reprising her role in the upcoming series.

They haven't revealed much about the project, but according to Variety, NBC has just hired former LOST writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach to write and executive-produce the series, "which is still in the development stages."

Grillo-Marxuach wrote for LOST, Medium, Charmed, The Middleman, Helix, among many others. I'm not a huge fan of LOST's story, so I'm hoping that he'll do a better job with the Xena franchise. I just hope Lawless will somehow be involved in the reboot even though her character died in the original series.
